MANILA--Make that a three-peat for Ateneo.

The Blue Eagles bucked a slow start to complete the UAAP men's baseball finals sweep against the De La Salle Green Batters with a 3-2 win at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium on Thursday.

Ateneo went scoreless in the first two innings as La Salle immediately raced to a 2-0 lead.

The Blue Eagles finally went on the board after Matt Laurel scored an RBI single in the third inning. They also held the Green Batters from there.

Ateneo got a breakthrough in the sixth inning as Carlos Muñoz threw a wild pass to the home plate that was not caught, allowing Laurel and Enzo Orbeta to get home and give Ryan Tionloc the go-ahead 2-run double.

Andy Tan then closed out the game for the Blue Eagles by shutting down the Green Batters' offense to secure their third consecutive title.

Tan eventually won the most valuable player award, while Laurel took the best slugger, best RBI scorer, and best homerun scorer plums.
