MANILA--Kaya stars O.J. Porteria and Kenshiro Daniels were named to the Azkals pool that will take on Bahrain in Manama, and Coach Adam Reekie was happy about the news.
"It's great. It's good for Kaya," Reekie said in reaction to the call-up to Porteria and Daniels.
He continued, "It's good for them to be exposed in that level, and we're fully supportive of them."
Porteria, a usual starter for Kaya, came off the bench Tuesday night against Socceroo and scored an 80th minute goal that ignited Kaya's late run to pull away for good.
On the other hand, Daniels, who came off the bench in Kaya's first matches, was given a start on Tuesday.
