MANILA--La Salle lost in Wednesday's UAAP women's volleyball finals opener against Ateneo, putting the team in a tough task to win three straight matches to reclaim the title. The earlier ACL tear to Ara Galang would make the mission tougher.
Now, it could even be near-impossible.
La Salle's Filipino publication, Pahayagang Plaridel, announced on Twitter that Camille Cruz tore multiple right knee ligaments after she landed awkwardly late in Wednesday's game.

The Lady Spikers' staff rushed to the Makati Medical Center, the same hospital where they sent Galang right after she suffered her own knee injury in their semifinal match against the NU Lady Bulldogs on Saturday.
This is not the first time Cruz suffered a knee injury as she had a left ACL injury in 2012.
