QUEZON CITY--NLEX mounted a huge fourth quarter run to continue its hot streak in the PBA Commissioner's Cup with a 102-86 win against the Kia Carnival at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday night.
The Road Warriors outscored the Carnival, 33-14, in the payoff period to complete a comeback from 11 points down and win their fifth straight game.
Al Thornton led NLEX, which moved up to 6-4, with 33 points, while Jonas Villanueva added 20.
P.J. Ramos had another monster game after tallying 41 points, 23 rebounds, and three blocks, but he was limited to only two markers in the fourth quarter. He also had a scare when he hurt his knee late in the period, but he shook off the pain and continued.
