PASIG--Looking for some topnotch Philippine college basketball action this summer on TV? You may not get it.
FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup director Joey Guillermo told some sportswriters on Thursday during a meeting with the representatives of the participating teams that the said tournament, which will start on April 18, may not be televised at all.
"The games may not be televised because of financial constraints," Guillermo said, adding that a standalone live streaming of the matchdays will cost them more.
However, Guillermo also said that the door is still open to television networks who want to broadcast the games, even to the competitors of last year's broadcaster, ABSCBN.
"It's still possible that the games will be covered. It all depends on what network," Guillermo said.
