MANILA--Global manager Dan Palami expressed concerns about his club's not-so-good start to its UFL season.
"It's the first time we've been in that position," Palami told the press after Saturday's loss to Loyola. The loss dropped the defending champion to fifth place with only 13 points with two matches left in the first round.
The 0-1 result also gave Global back-to-back losses in all competitions as it lost to Yadanarbon in an AFC Cup match in Myanmar on Wednesday.
However, with the championship race already tight nearing the halfway point of the season, Palami expressed confidence that Global will prevail in the end.
"It's not too late," he said, aware that his club is just five points behind league leader Kaya in the table.
Palami said that the long break will be used for training.
