MANILA--Kaya pulled off a major surprise on Tuesday as the UFL club announced the resignation of Adam Reekie as its coach.
In its official statement, Kaya said it "respects his decision and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors." The club did not give further details about Reekie's resignation and said it will not entertain more queries.
Reekie's resignation came at the time Kaya is leading in the team standings.
In spite of his decision, Kaya, which has the most league titles, remains confident that it will win its fourth UFL title.
"Kaya is known for its “Never say die” attitude. We never give up and we never give in. We know what it means to overcome obstacles, to play with heart, and to keep the dream alive," the club vowed.
