QUEZON CITY--With a Barako Bull win early Tuesday, San Miguel has been virtually eliminated from the PBA Commissioner's Cup.

But the Beermen still left the competition with their heads held high.

San Miguel pulled away for good late in its match with GlobalPort for a 106-94 win at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Beermen fought back from 11 points down and finished the game on a 14-2 run to finish their campaign with four wins and seven losses. They, however, failed to enter the quarterfinals as they had to beat the Batang Pier by 31 or more to have a shot at making to the playoffs.

In spite of falling short of the needed margin, San Miguel pushed GlobalPort to a possible elimination as well as Alaska can nail the last playoff spot with a win on Wednesday against Ginebra. The result officially put Ginebra and Barako Bull in the quarterfinals while eliminating Kia in the process too.

Junemar Fajardo finished with 31 points, 19 rebounds, and four blocks for the Beermen.
