Stallion continues hot run after downing Jeepney

MANILA--Coach Kim Chul-Su and the FEU players he has in his Manila Jeepney roster are still on a high from their UAAP championship two nights ago.

Stallion sent them back to earth immediately.

Jordan Mintah led Stallion's rally to beat Jeepney, 4-1, in their UFL clash Tuesday night at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Mintah quickly canceled Alvaro Alonso's 14th minute opening goal in the 21st and sealed Stallion's win with a stoppage time goal. Balut Doctora and O.J. Clariño scored the two other goals for Stallion midway into the second half.

Not even Nicolas Ferrer and Eric Giganto's respective UFL season debut saved Jeepney from the blowout as they failed to deliver despite the club's renewed offensive intensity.

Stallion, continuing to make a statement this season, moved up to a three-way tie for second place with 12 points, winning for the fourth time in five matches. The club finished the night in fourth place due to an inferior goal difference.
