TNT takes top spot ahead of All-Star break

QUEZON CITY--Talk 'n Text moved to first place in the PBA Commissioner's Cup standings after a 96-88 win against GlobalPort in a Sunday showdown at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Tropang Texters dominated most of the second half to win for the sixth time in eight outings and shed the aftermath of their upset loss to the Kia Carnival.

Ivan Johnson scored 35 points, while Ranidel De Ocampo added 25 for Talk n Text, which will stay on top when the All-Star break begins on Wednesday.

Terrence Romeo led GlobalPort, which dropped to 4-4, with 20 markers.
