Eddiva to face new opponent in UFC Fight Night Philippines

MANILA--Filipino MMA fighter Mark Eddiva will battle a different foe come UFC's first Philippine event at the Mall of Asia Arena on May 16.

The MMA promotion announced on Thursday that Eddiva's original opponent, Alex White, will be out for the said event because of an undisclosed injury.

Levan Makashvili will take over White's spot as Eddiva's opponent in the UFC Fight Night.

Makashvili, playing in only his second UFC fight, will carry an impressive 9-1 record to the octagon against Eddiva, who will have the home crowd behind him.
