Letran begins Aldin Ayo era with rout of USJR

SAN JUAN, MM--Aldin Ayo got a win in his first game as the new coach of the Letran Knights, steering the team to an 89-66 bludgeoning of the USJR Jaguars in their FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup match on Monday at the FilOil Flying V Arena.

The Knights took advantage of the error-prone Jaguars as they quickly opened a double-digit gap and held on to the lead. The Jaguars committed 32 turnovers the entire game.

Former national youth team standouts Rey Nambatac and Jerrick Balanza paced Letran with 15 points each.

Iron Suano also scored 15 points for USJR, one of two CESAFI teams participating in this tournament.
