PASAY--Petron bounced back from a slow start to oust Philips from the PLDT Home Ultera-Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference Finals contention with a 25-14, 25-23, 25-18 win in their knockout semifinal at the Cuneta Astrodome on Monday.
The Blaze Spikers showed some aftereffect of a one-week layoff as the Lady Slammers raced to a 5-0 lead at the start of the match.
The Blaze Spikers fought back and walloped the Lady Slammers in the rest of the first set to take the match advantage.
