Azkals up two spots, remain second in Southeast Asia

MANILA--The Philippine Azkals improved on its FIFA rankings after the latest update was released on Thursday.

The Azkals moved two places up to 137th overall in a tie with Luxembourg with 200 points each.

On the other hand, the Azkals remained behind Vietnam, who improved by a notch to 124th overall, at the top of the Southeast Asian rankings. They also remained 18th in the Asian rankings.

The top 17 teams from last month's rankings maintained their rankings this month with Germany staying atop with 1,87 points.

In the AFC rankings, Iran stays at number one with 689 points. The team also remained at 40th overall.

Suriname was the biggest gainer as the team climbed 14 spots to 154th spot, while Mauritania suffered the largest drop as the team fell by nine places to 129th overall.
