PARAÑAQUE—From the terror dome of the PXC, Red Dela Cruz is ready to conquer the octagon of the UFC.
The former PXC ring girl bested four other finalists in an online voting to decide who will join Arianney Celeste as the octagon girls for UFC Fight Night at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday.
She told Dugout Philippines on Thursday during the UFC Ultimate Media Day how happy she was that she will finally be together with her idol at the said fight card.
"What I am looking forward is to meet my idol, Arianney Celeste," Dela Cruz said.
She, however, admitted that she was surprised upon the announcement of the winner.
She revealed, "Syempre nabigla ako, but excited din. Hindi ako makapaniwala na from PXC, I will be going to UFC."
She hopes that her experience as the PXC ring girl will give her confidence come Saturday night's UFC event.
"Two years na rin ako na nasa PXC, so experience will be a factor," Dela Cruz continued.
She also thanked her fans club, the Red Army, for its continuous support on her, baring that the members' votes were vital on her win.
"Lagi silang nasa events ko. Hindi nila ako pinapabayaan," Dela Cruz told about the club's support for her.
For what to expect from her for Saturday night, she simply answered, "I'll do my best for the Philippines."
