SWU finally nails FilOil win after downing UP

SAN JUAN, MM—CESAFI champion SWU finally notched a win in the FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup with a 73-60 clobbering of UP at the FilOil Flying V Arena on Wednesday.

The Cobras opened a double-digit advantage against the Fighting Maroons in the second quarter and never looked back to get their first victory in three outings.

Boko Mupongo led SWU with 22 points, 18 rebounds, and two blocks, while Jan Auditor added 16 points and seven rebounds.

Gelo Vito scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds for UP, which has now lost six straight.
