SAN JUAN, MM--The UE Red Warriors defeat the Lyceum Pirates, 77-64, in their FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup match on Friday night at the FilOil Flying V Arena.

The Red Warriors never looked back after outscoring the Pirates, 22-8, in the third quarter to lead 54-44.

Lyceum still tried to rally back during the early minutes of the fourth quarter, but UE made a run of its own to widen the gap courtesy of Paul Varilla's long range barrage.

Varilla had 19 points, while Philip Manalang added 11 for the Red Warriors, who are still unbeaten in two matches.

Joseph Gabayni and Wilson Baltazar made ten points apiece for the Pirates, who have now lost back-to-back.
