Ceres fortifies hold of UFL lead after blasting Loyola

MANILA--Bienve Maranon and Patrick Reichelt led Ceres' flurry as the current UFL leader strengthened its hold of the top spot with a 6-1 thrashing of Loyola at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Saturday night.

Despite conceding Brad Grayson's 17th minute goal, Ceres scored six straight to steal the win and extend its lead over Stallion to six points.

Reichelt tied the match at 1-all at the 25th minute, while Maranon made two more to give Ceres the lead at halftime.

Reichelt further stretched Ceres' edge in the 57th minute as he completed his brace, while Maranon blasted one more in the 71st minute for his hat trick.

Jeffrey Christaens was the other Ceres scorer by sealing the win with an 85th minute strike.
