Hapee, Cafe France toss up in historic championship battle

By Ivan Saldajeno

PASIG—History will unfold on Thursday.

Hapee and Cafe France will collide one last time to determine the winner of the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena.

The Fresh Fighters and the Bakers will battle in the league's first-ever Finals Game 3 set at 3 p.m., and both clubs are also chasing a history of their own.

Hapee, which won Game 1 last Thursday, is eyeing to become only the second team to win back-to-back D-League plums, while Cafe France, which forced the decider on Monday, is gunning for its first franchise title and the fourth team to win one pennant.

The Fresh Fighters could play shorthanded on Monday as Baser Amer, Ola Adeogun, and Arth Dela Cruz are listed as day-to-day because of respective injuries with the latter getting his knee hurt late in Game 2.
