SAN JUAN, MM—JRU took down UE, 76-67, to clinch the second FilOil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup semifinals berth at the FilOil Flying V Arena on Wednesday.
The Heavy Bombers took advantage of the Red Warriors' errors to mount a lead by as high as 12 and never looked back.
Paolo Pontejos tallied 23 points, two rebounds, and two assists off the bench, while fellow substitute Jordan Dela Paz added 20 markers, nine boards, and two dimes for JRU, which will face the winner of the match between San Beda and Letran, which is ongoing as of posting.
R.R. De Leon made 12 points, six assists, and one assist for UE, which committed a total of 26 turnovers, leading to 24 JRU points.
