MANILA--It may not be among the best conclusions to a football match, but Kaya will take it.
Kaya rallied late in the second half to down Loyola, 3-2, in their UFL match on Saturday night at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Kaya's go-ahead goal, however, turned out to be a lucky shot.
With seconds left in regulation, O.J. Porteria appeared to be flicking in a cross. Tommy Trigo got a piece of the ball but fumbled it, and eventually the ball rolled inside the goal posts.
The 90th minute capped what would be a late meltdown by Loyola, which drew with Kaya in their first meeting.
Loyola led, 2-1, 70 minutes into the match behind a brace by Brad Grayson.
But Louis Clark took advantage of a miscue in Loyola's clearance, found himself on a 1-on-1 with Trigo, and struck the ball past him for the equalizer in the 81st minute, nine minutes before Porteria's game-winner.
Chris Greatwich scored for Kaya, which gave Fabien Lewis his first win as coach, in between Grayson's goals.
