Parks invited to Mavs' Summer League team

MANILA--A ray of hope to enter the NBA shone on Ray Parks despite the draft snub.

Parks' agent Charlie Dy said on Friday through Instagram that Parks got an invitation to join the Dallas Mavericks for the NBA Summer League starting on July 5.

Parks will become teammates with first-round pick Justin Anderson and second-round pick Satnam Singh, who was earlier reported to have beat out Parks for the 52nd pick.

Should he get impressions, Parks could become closer to earning a contract with an NBA team for the 2016 NBA season beginning in October.
