Adeogun powers San Beda over CSB

SAN JUAN, MM—Ola Adeogun put up season-high numbers to tow San Beda past CSB, 73-67, in their NCAA game at the FilOil Flying V Arena on Thursday.

Adeogun led the Red Lions with 25 points, 13 rebounds, and one block as they hung on after a third quarter run by the Blazers.

San Beda limited CSB to only eight points in the first quarter en route to a 41-28 halftime lead.

The latter, however, countered by limitng the reigning champion to omly nine in the third period to come to within two, 48-50.

The Red Lions opened the final ten minutes on a 13-2 run to extend the lead to 13 anew, 63-50, with 5:06 left.

Jonathan Grey tried to take matters to his own hands by scoring eight straight points to cut the Blazers' deficit to five, 58-63, with 3:48 remaining.

But Adeogun made timely baskets to keep San Beda's lead until the end.

Arth Dela Cruz also tallied a double-double for San Beda with ten markers and ten boards along with six assists.

Grey finished with 16 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals for CSB, which further dropped to 1-4.
