MANILA--Half a week after signifying its intention to join the PBA, Racal made another professional basketball move by joining the ABL.
The motorcycle company confirmed on Wednesday that it will become the Philippines' second representative to the Southeast Asian home-and-away tournament, joining the Mindanao Aguilas, who signified their own intent on Sunday.
Jonito Racal, the company's chairman, believes that the ABL can be a channel to market all of its products outside the Philippines.
Racal's team will be named Racal-Alibaba due to the partnership between the two firms and will likely stage home games in Manila when the 2016 season commences in October.
