MANILA—Green Archers' red-hot UFL second round continued on Sunday night with a 4-0 blanking of Socceroo at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Manuel Chaffort opened the scoring in the 13th minute as he finished a volley off an Alex Elnar assist.
Socceroo's defense, which hung tough against Green Archers for most of the match despite' Chaffort's goal, began to implode in the 67th minute when Ronnie Aguisanda made it 2-0.
Jovanie Simpron then broke loose as he found the goal wide open after Baba Sampana tried to go after Jhan-Jhan Melliza and converted the latter's pass to Green Archers' third goal.
Reynald Villareal capped the second half storm for Green Archers with a goal seconds into stoppage time.
Green Archers have now won their last four games and are now within a point behind Stallion for fourth place.
