JRU bounces back with 67-47 mauling of EAC

SAN JUAN, MM—JRU got back to its winning ways after bludgeoning EAC, 67-47, in their NCAA meeting at the FilOil Flying V Arena on Friday.

The Heavy Bombers banked on a 23-3 second half run to open a 24-point cushion, 61-37, and never looked back.

After struggling in his last two games, Abdel Poutouochi made another dominating performance, making all of his five field goals and five charities to finish with 15 points along with five rebounds for JRU, which snapped a two-game skid.

On the other hand, Abdul Abdul-Wahab grabbed 14 rebounds, three blocks, and two steals to anchor JRU's defense.

Sidney Onwubere led EAC with ten points, 17 rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block, but he was accounted for ten of the team's 30 turnovers.
