MANILA--Loyola went on a second half domination to defeat Stallion, 3-1, in their UFL second round showdown at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Saturday night.
It was actually all-Loyola after a seventh minute attack by Nate Alquiros as Brad Grayson tied the match two minutes later.
Grayson, however, only put Loyola up for good just moments after the second half kickoff as he got a pass from Anton Del Rosario and struck the ball past Johann Noetzel.
Grayson had a chance for a hat trick in the 60th minute, but Noetzel saved the ball. Jake Morallo got the repossession and sent the ball to the net for the final tally.
Loyola moved up to third place, just behind Kaya, a 4-1 winner over Pachanga earlier in the night, on goal difference, and drew to within five points of Ceres in the race for the title with four matches left.
Ceres, however, has two matches at hand. One of the two will come against Global on Sunday night.
