MANILA--EAC and Lyceum may have to wait for a few more days before they get a shot to get their first win in NCAA Season 91.
The NCAA announced on Wednesday night that the scheduled Thursday seniors doubleheader at the FilOil Flying V Arena will not push through due to the effects of Typhoon "Falcon".
The Generals and Pirates, currently at the bottom of the standings at 0-2, are supposed to meet in the 2 p.m. in a clash for the right to enter the win column.
Another winless team, San Sebastian, is booked for a 4 p.m. encounter with defending champion San Beda on Thursday.
The league also postponed the ICA-Lyceum and the San Beda-Taytay-San Sebastian high school matches scheduled at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. respectively.
According to its official statement, the decision was made after consultations with the basketball committee, the management committee led by Mapua's Melchor Divina, the players of the teams involved, and Commissioner Bai Cristobal.
The games will be played on a new date that will be announced by the league.
Barring another game suspension, EAC and San Sebastian's next chance at win number one will take place on Tuesday as they will take on Arellano and JRU respectively, while Lyceum will return to action next Thursday against CSB.
