SAN JUAN, MM—Perpetual Help may be the hottest team right now in the NCAA, but Coach Aric Del Rosario thinks the battle is far from over.
"Malayo pa yan. May 14 games pa," the veteran mentor said to the press after the Altas went off to their best start ever in the league after downing the San Sebastian Golden Stags, 84-70, on Friday.
He added, "Minsan maganda ang laro ng mga kalaban. Minsan nadedepensahan ka. Di pa ako nakakasiguro."
He stressed out in particular the 26 errors of his men in the entire game.
"Ang players ko, kulang sa experience sa laro. Ang dami pang mali," Del Rosario rued Perps' turnovers.
Scottie Thompson, one of his veterans and was named the man of the match with a triple-double of 21 points, 15 rebounds, and 14 assists, actually committed eight of those 26 turnovers.
Despite his team going error-prone on Friday, Del Rosario wished that they will lean on how they got their four-game winning streak to begin Season 91 until the end.
Del Rosario hoped, "Sana palaging ganoon."
