MANDALUYONG--L.A. Tenorio kept silent about his decision to beg off from national team duties.

"I don't want to talk about it first. Medyo malalim pa. Maybe next time," said the Ginebra guard, who played for Gilas' 2013 and 2014 teams, to some sportswriters during a basketball training event presented by Gatorade, where he is one of the ambassadors, on Wednesday.

With his departure from Gilas opening the doors for new point guard prospects to come in, Tenorio advised, "Continue to work hard at sana dedicated at committed sila sa kanilang mga gagawin."

Meanwhile, a source told Dugout Philippines that Tenorio and the rest of the PBA stars who begged off from Gilas duties can only speak as early as Monday, when the official Gilas pool will be revealed, as per their respective clubs' management decision.
