MANILA--On Wednesday, Arnold Van Opstal called it a college basketball career.
The 6-9 La Sallian tall order opted not to use his remaining year with the Green Archers in the UAAP right after it was announced that he has an Achilles tendon injury that will sideline him for at least three months.
Van Opstal began his Instagram post officially declaring his foregoing of his last UAAP year by saying, "It pains me to announce that after 4 of the best years of my life, my career in La Salle is coming to an end."
Meanwhile, he vowed that he will return next year different from how we saw him play for La Salle as he is likely to declare for the 2016 PBA Draft after he recuperates.
"I am determined to come back stronger, faster and better to tackle my next frontier, the PBA. This is not the end but only the beginning," continued Van Opstal.
