MANILA--The Younghusband Brothers scored for Loyola as the club once again tied Global for second place on points in the UFL table with a 2-0 win over Manila Jeepney at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Sunday night.
Older brother James opened Loyola's offense with a fifth minute header off a cross from Curt Dizon.
Younger brother Phil, on the other hand, scored the other goal in the 71st minute as he scored off an assist from Simon Greatwich.
Jeepney failed to take advantage of seeing Loyola undermanned after Anthony Putrus-Schnell incurred a red card via a double-yellow in the 82nd minute as the latter's defense held on for most of the match.
While both Loyola and Global had 31 points with two matches left, Loyola, with an inferior goal difference, only moved up to provisional third pending Kaya's match with Stallion, which is playing as of posting.
Loyola and Global will break their tie on Wednesday as they will face each other at the same pitch.
