CSB overshadows San Sebastian for second win

SAN JUAN, MM--Jonathan Grey led the College of Saint Benilde to its their second win in the NCAA Season 91 men’s basketball tournament with a lopsided 88-66 win against San Sebastian College-Recoletos on Tuesday at the FilOil Flying V Arena.

The 6’1 shooting guard, who came off the bench, tallied a total of 29 points together with eight rebounds, six assists, three steals, and two blocks.

He already contributed 20 points during the first half, where the Blazers ended the first 20 minutes with a 43-30 lead. They further stretched the gap to 19, 68-49, at the end of the third quarter.

The Golden Stags tried to claw back to the game, but they could only go to as low as 13 points, 70-57, with nine minutes left in the tick as the Blazers pulled away for good and never looked back.

Bradwyn Guinto led the Stags with a double-double performance of 16 points and 16 rebounds, but that was not enough for him to pull off a victory for his team.

CSB improved its record to 2-5, while the San Sebastian slid down to 1-6.
