PASAY—NBA stars Danny Green and Kenneth Faried will visit the Philippines as their appearance will highlight the NBA 3X Philippines at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on Aug 28-30.

Green, whose three-point shooting helped the San Antonio Spurs win the 2014 NBA title, and Faried, the Denver Nuggets star who helped Team USA in its successful 2014 FIBA World Cup campaign, will join the Golden State Warriors Dancers and Frankin the Philadelphia 76ers mascot in the said weekend-long event.

“I’m excited to visit the Philippines for the first time to experience the culture and be part of the NBA 3X festivities,” said Faried.  “Filipinos are incredibly passionate about the game, and this will be a weekend of great basketball as the players get the opportunity to showcase their skills.”

“I look forward to meeting the fans and showing my support for the best Filipino basketball talents competing for pride and recognition on the big stage,” said Green.

The NBA 3X Philippines, which will also hold games at the PICC, will have the open divisions as well as age-group divisions for both men and women.

“With NBA 3X Philippines celebrating its fifth consecutive staging in Manila, we continue our goal of providing our loyal fans with a platform to interact with NBA talent and to showcase their on-court skills.... [It] is another way for our fans to get the authentic NBA experience through a weekend of fun and entertainment for the entire family,” NBA Philippines manager Carlo Singson.
