MANILA--Far Eastern University and University of the Philippines-Y rebounded from their opening day losses to win their respective matches in Group A, while UP-X and Chelsea Soccer School PH battled to a goalless stalemate in the lone Group B game of the second day of the PFF Women's Invitational Cup at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Sunday.
FEU, the three-time defending UAAP champion and reigning Women’s Cup holder, recovered from a shock loss to Green Archers United Ladies as it took the talons away from Ateneo de Manila University, 4-0, in the curtain raiser.
A brace by Barbie Sobredo and a goal each by Jovelle Sudaria and Roselle Marie Lecera put FEU on the top of the Group A table ahead of GAU Ladies who had a match in hand.
UP-Y bounced back from a 0-2 loss to the Lady Eagles as it beat debuting Sikat 2-0 in the second Group A match.

The win by UP-Y pushed the team to third ahead of the Lady Eagles on goal difference.

Green Archers United Ladies and De La Salle University had their schedule byes on Sunday, while Lady Tamaraws and UST got a surprise day-off due to a late fixture change.
Originally a quadruple-header, the schedule was tweaked to make way for the UFL Cup Round of 16 matches in the evening., prompting the tournament officials to reschedule the supposed Lady Tamaraws-UST tiff.
