James visits Manila for the second time

PASAY--Four-time NBA Most Valuable Player and two-time champion LeBron James visited the Philippines for the second time.

The trip was part of LeBron's Rise Tour to mentor and to inspire young Filipino cagers.

James also introduced the final 12 Rise players who will play their final game as part of the Rise program on Aug. 23, 2015, the Cleveland Cavaliers forward also played an exhibition match at the Mall of Asia Arena against some PBA players and young ballers.

Before the game, James spent his time with the Rise players in the locker room, where he shared his pre-game ritual and even the songs he listens to before the game.

The 6’8 small forward also delivered a simple but sweet message to the players and as well to the audience, “More than teaching them skill sets, it’s about the inspiration that comes behind it. The stories that I can give them, tell them about the game. It’s up to them to use that, to better themselves. That is more important than anything else.”

Aside from mentoring and inspiring young athletes, James also unveiled his LeBron 12 Low at Bonifacio High Street. The LeBron 12 Low was part of the Rise Collection. His shoes were a Filipino inspired. With a color of blue, red and yellow that signifies the color of the Philippine Flag.

LeBron's first visit was last 2013 where he also played an exhibition game in the Mall of Asia Arena.
