MANILA--Manila North booked a seat in the FIBA 3x3 Manila championship game after dethroning erstwhile champion Manila West, 21-18, at the Robinson's Place Manila on Sunday.
Calvin Abueva, who is not known for his three-point shooting in the PBA, sizzled from the beyond-the-arc, while Vic Manuel scored on a reverse layup to complete the "knockout" for Manila North despite a late surge from Terrence Romeo.
Manila North, which also booked a seat in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Final, will take on defending world champion Novi Sad, a 21-13 winner over last year's other Manila Masters finalist Doha, in the earlier semifinal game.
