PASIG--From 17, the Gilas Pilipinas' training pool was cut to 16 few minutes into its first practice.
In the new pool's first official day of training at the Meralco Gym on Monday night, Kelly Williams suffered a knee injury after slipping to the floor early into the said session.
The extent of the said injury will be likely known as early as Tuesday, but the national pool fears a possible ACL tear as a source said that Williams heard a pop when he slipped.
Out of the 17 players called up including naturalized player Andray Blatche, only 14 were present on Monday as Junemar Fajardo and L.A. Tenorio owed health issues for their absence and Marc Pingris had family matters abroad.
