PBA reveals list of draft applicants

QUEZON CITY--The 41st season of the PBA is fast approaching, and with a new season comes the rookie draft that gives the teams a crack on the newest players who wish to play in the first ever professional basketball league in Asia.

On Monday, the league office released the initial list of the rookie aspirants who will join the 2015 PBA Rookie Draft. 

Consensus top pick Moala Tautuaa, NU ace player Troy Rosario, DLSU defensive stalwarts Norbert Torres and Yutien Andrada, reigning NCAA MVP Earl Scottie Thompson, Ace Gilas Cadet Garvo Lanete, Ateneo star forward Chris Newsome headline this year's draft applicants as well as quality guards Mark Cruz of Letran, Baser Amer of San Beda, Almond Vosotros of DLSU and King Warrior Roi Sumang of UE.

The rookies are required to undergo official biometrics and participate in the PBA Rookie Camp scheduled on Aug. 19 and 20 to complete their draft eligibility.

Right after the camp, the final list of eligible rookies will be released by the PBA.

The draft will be held on Aug. 23 at Robinsons Manila Midtown Atrium at 4 p.m.
