Perlas cruises to second straight win in FIBA Asia tourney against Sri Lanka

WUHAN--Perlas walloped Sri Lanka, 65-45, for its second straight win in the FIBA Asia Women's Championship on Monday.

The 58th-ranked Philippine side banked on a second quarter barrage to blow out the 54th-placed Sri Lankan team.

Shelley Gupilan finished with 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc, while Camille Sambile nearly registered a double-double with nine markers and nine rebounds along with three steals and two blocks for Perlas, which moved up to 2-1 in the team standings.

Kumarine Silva led Sri Lanka with ten points and seven rebounds.
