MANILA--Moala Tautuaa formally became the first pick of the 2015 PBA Draft after getting selected by Talk 'n Text at the Robinson's Place Manila on Sunday.
Originally owned by Blackwater, TNT acquired the pick in a trade last season for Larry Rodriguez, and the latter did not hesitate in taking Tautuaa.
The Chadron State alumnus last played club basketball for the PBA D-League side Cebuana Lhuillier. Prior to that, he was drafted by Cagayan in the D-League Draft.
The 6-7 forward-center first became known for his stint with the Malaysia Dragons in the ABL.
With Tautuaa still in Estonia as he just finished his Gilas stint in a pocket tournament there, his relatives came to represent him in the draft proper.
