Tito Sotto claims Mahindra tapping Yaya Dub too

By Ivan Saldajeno

QUEZON CITY--While the speculations about how Mahindra will utilize its second overall pick continue to increase in number three days before the PBA Draft, it looks like the team formerly known as Kia is looking ahead to the season opener.

On Thursday, Sen. Tito Sotto said on the GMA noontime show Eat Bulaga that the Enforcers want to take Maine "Yaya Dub" Mendoza as their muse in the opening ceremonies on Oct. 18.

Sotto, one of the pioneer hosts of the Philippines' longest-running TV program, told co-hosts brother Vic, Joey De Leon, and Allan K. during the "Juan for All, All for Juan" segment highlighted by the now-anticipated AlDub Kalye Serye that no less than Mahindra coach Manny Pacquiao inquired to him about Mendoza.

"Kahapon, sina Manny Pacquiao, kumontak sa akin," the senator revealed.

He also confirmed Ginebra's move to tap the rising star comedienne as its muse.

In fact, Sotto further bared, "Ang daming mga basketball team na iniimbita si Yaya Dub [Mendoza] para mag-muse."

He, however, jokingly said that Lola Nidora, played by Wally Bayola, is barring Mendoza from becoming a PBA team muse and that his counter-offer is the new Kalye Serye character Duhrizz also played by Bayola.
