QUEZON CITY--Ateneo guns for its third straight UAAP women's volleyball title, and Alyssa Valdez is once again expected to carry the load for next year.
But now on her final year, the Queen Eagle is bullish that behind Jhoana Maraguinot and Bea De Leon, their team will still be dominant even without her.
"If ganun pa rin yung system, why not? Kaya naman [nila]." Valdez told a group of sportswriters on Monday.
The towering De Leon and the vastly improving Maraguinot are expected to be the Lady Eagles' spark plugs once Valdez finishes up her UAAP years and embarks on an anticipated pro career.

Valdez said specifically about Maraguinot, who shone brightly this year, "Si Jho, sobrang talented kasi. Effortless sa kanya lahat ng ginagawa niya. Yung family niya ay sobrang into sports. Malayo talaga mararating niya."
