MANILA--The NCAA imposed respective one-game suspensions to two players from EAC and one player from Perpetual Help for their respective disqualifying fouls in their game on Tuesday.
The league announced on Wednesday the ban for Generals Raymund Pascua and Rico Diego and Alta Niko Cabiltes for their part in a commotion with 1:38 left in the game won by Cabiltes' squad.
Diego and Cabiltes were given disqualifying fouls for shoving each other at mid-court, while the referees reasoned out an instigation of a fight for Pascua's own ejection.
League rules state that players ejected from the game will automatically be meted with a one-game suspension.
However, Pascua and Cabiltes can still get stiffer sanctions as Commissioner Bai Cristobal currently investigates the post-game brawl between the two players.
Even Sidney Onwubere may not escape from a possible suspension as witnesses claimed that the current King General was also involved in the clash.
EAC will face Lyceum on Thursday, while Perpetual Help, a current co-leader in the standings, will battle JRU in a crucial showdown on Friday.
