MAKATI--Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry finds this upcoming NBA season as a different kind of challenge considering that his club is the defending champion.
"It’s going to be a different challenge for us. We’ve never defended an NBA championship before so it will be a new experience for us," Curry told the press at the Raffles Hotel on Saturday during the second leg of his Asian tour sponsored by Under Armour.
In spite of the members of his team being first-time NBA champs including him, Curry and even his teammates believe the Warriors are top title contenders in the new season which will kick off on Oct. 28 (Philippine Time).
The reigning season MVP said, “We feel like we’re still the team to beat. All eyes are on our team and every other team is trying to knock us off our throne, so we have to be even better than we were last year to get back to the top.”
