QUEZON CITY, Philippines - The Green Archers made sure they made a statement against another championship contender as they push a 20-0 run late in the third quarter.
It seems like another close game for the first two quarters of the game before a barrage of three pointers came from the Tamaraws in the third period.
The Green Archers was caught off guard as FEU suddenly tighten their defense, moved the ball, and bombed them from the three point line. The Tamaraws had 22 assists and went 14 for 34 in the three point range with five of them knocking down at least two from the long bomb, while DLSU only scored 11 points in that quarter.
The duo of Tolomia and Belo combined for 37 points to lead the Tams grab their second victory of the season after losing a one point game against league leading UST Growling Tigers (3-0).
Jeron Teng's scored a game high 29 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to mount a comeback for the Archers.
The FEU Tamaraws will try to carry the momentum on to their next game against the UP Fighting Maroons, while the DLSU Green Archers will try to bounce back on the same day, September 20, against the winless Adamson Soaring Falcons.
Boxscore:
FEU 93 - Tolomia 20, Belo 17, Orizu 12, Pogoy 8, Inigo 6, Jose 6, Tamsi 6, Trinidad 6, R. Escoto 5, Arong 3, Comboy 3, Holmqvist 1, Ebona 0, Ri Escoto 0.
