MANILA--FEU took home the PFF Women's Invitational Cup with a 2-1 victory over La Salle in the resumption of the postponed final at the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Sunday.
Dayday Dolino kicked off the scoring for the Lady Tamaraws 35 seconds into the restart of the match that was halted at the 32nd minute due to stormy weather by shooting a free kick from near half-court that stunned the Lady Booters' skipper Inna Palacios.
Barbie Sobredo duplicated in the 66th minute to give FEU a 2-0 lead.
Regine Metillo kept the match interesting with a 70th minute goal to put La Salle on the board, but the team failed to find the equalizer in the final minutes.
The Lady Tamaraws secured a spot in the Vietnam Invitational Women's Cup pitting some of the best distaff football clubs in Asia.
