Huge fourth quarter lifts Arellano over CSB

SAN JUAN, MM—Arellano banked on a solid fourth quarter to get past CSB, 86-82, in their NCAA second round meeting at the FilOil Flying V Arena on Tuesday.

Trailing 55-60, after the first three periods, the Chiefs opened the final ten minutes of the game on a 15-5 run to take a 70-65 advantage with 6:27 left.

They would hold off the mini-rallies of the Blazers in the end to cap a 31-22 fourth canto and boosted their playoff bid.

Jio Jalalon led Arellano, now in solo fourth with a 7-4 slate, with 20 points, six rebounds, and nine assists, while Allen Enriquez had a career-high 14 markers and 11 boards.

Jonathan Grey scored 22 points, six rebounds, and five assists for CSB, which further dropped to 2-9.
