MANILA--The Los Angeles Lakers finally gave Jordan Clarkson the green light to join Gilas.

There is only one condition, though.

The Lakers' vice president for public relations John Black told Manila Bulletin's Nick Giongco through e-mail on Tuesday that they will call Clarkson up on Sept. 28 for their training camp in Hawaii, but he will be free to suit up for Gilas on days before it.

If the calendar of the FIBA Asia Championship, which will run from Sept. 23 to Oct. 3 is to be considered, Clarkson, should he get chosen in the Final 12, can only play during the first round and will be gone from the lineup come the next rounds.
