Letran pushes CSB to brink of elimination

SAN JUAN, MM--Letran once again banked on a fourth quarter explosion to down CSB anew, 79-69, in their NCAA second round match at the FilOil Flying V Arena on Thursday.

In a game dictated by spurts every quarter, the Knights prevailed in the end after going for a 25-13 fourth period to send the Blazers to a possible early elimination.

Mark Cruz once again went clutch for Letran, scoring eight of his 20 points in the final frame. McJour Luib also had a fourth quarter blitz with six of his season-high 16 markers.

J.J. Domingo and Jonathan Grey led CSB with 14 points each.
